Which Bag for Which Product?
Film bags are converted packaging made of mono or laminate film, supplied ready-sealed prior to filling. Depending on product, fill quantity and shelf presentation, gusseted bags, flat bags, stand-up pouches or doypacks are used. We manufacture all formats from our own film, printed and perforated, in Hamburg.
Gusseted Bags and Flat Bags
Gusseted bags have two inward-folded pleats and offer large volume with a compact footprint, ideal for bread, baked goods, coffee and frozen products. Flat bags are sealed on two sides, economical and flexible, typical for snacks, confectionery, textiles and small parts, also with a euro slot for product presentation.
Stand-Up Pouches and Doypacks
Stand-up pouches and doypacks stand independently on the shelf thanks to their inward-folded bottom gusset and offer the largest printable surface. With a zipper they become resealable, with a valve they are suitable for freshly roasted coffee. Made from barrier laminate, they protect snacks, muesli, pet food and dry products.
Which Film for the Bag?
Transparent BOPP and CPP films for baked goods and floristry, cold-impact-resistant PE for frozen food, barrier laminates of PET, aluminium and PE for coffee and snacks, compostable bio films for organic ranges. Micro- or macro-perforation provides breathability for bread, fruit and vegetables.
